Ok, I had about 40 minutes to cruise through at lightening speed the first building of exhibits.
What I found interesting -
* New furniture maker (very colorful) french - BRM Library
www.library-furniture-brm.com
Really colorful, appears well made, whimsical
* Springshare (schedule calendars) - I think we can't use them though (city website / city calendar)
* Schedule 3W - Dymaxion research
Also saw a chrome book charging station, was not impressed - big clunky :(.
Will be visiting more tomorrow. Let me know if there is anything you'd like me to take a look at. So far the feedback is that the blubeam conference app i s not great.
Hi- if you see any exhibits about scheduling software, can you please bring back their handouts? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'd be interested in more detail on what you heard about the blubeam app?

I've got handouts Casey!
ReplyDeleteHi Don, check in with Brian, Lessa, Erica who all downloaded the app. The feedback I heard was that you would get pop ups on the screen when you were near something (say you're session), however when you walked away it disappeared. You could not go back and retrieve the information.
We had a good conversation during dinner about the idea of pushing information to patrons - if they signed up, great. However if they did not - it seems very intrusive to have pop ups about some display, event, or something popping up in your face. I know there are stores int he mall that use a similar service, possibly Macy's, where they push coupons out to patrons walking by.
