ALA Gamer

At the ALA Gamer room where the Gamer Round Table is hosting a table top game night. What are table top games you ask? Any game you can play on a table (or the floor)...card games, board games, role play.

Games are a great way to teach children (and adults) about how to follow instructions, be a good sport, how to lose (gracefully), how to share, how to bluff (is that a good thing?), develop strategy, take turns, have fun, etc...(do you need more reasons?).

Gaming is becoming incredibly popular and it is something that transcends age (depending on the game) and race, gender...it's a ton of fun and a great way to make memories that last a lifetime.

There is also some tips on how to incorporate games in library programs such as book tie-ins, cultural arts nights and storytime.

Go gaming!!!
